ERP Consulting Services

An ERP consultant who has run the systems, not just selected them.

Most ERP consulting stops at the software. I sit in the CFO seat while the system goes live — 35+ years leading implementations end-to-end across distribution, retail and contracting, from MS Navision to Sage Intacct.

Why the implementation matters more than the software

An ERP project doesn't fail because the software is bad. It fails because the chart of accounts, the controls, the data conversion and the people weren't ready — and no one accountable for finance was close enough to the work.

I've led ERP implementations as the finance leader, not as an outside advisor handing off a recommendation. That means clean financials at go-live, a team that can close in the new system, and reporting the owner actually uses to run the business.

If you're choosing a system, mid-implementation, or recovering from a go-live that didn't stick — that's the work I do.

Implementation Experience

Systems I've implemented and led.

MS Navision (Microsoft Dynamics NAV)

APR Supply Company

Led the full ERP implementation to MS Navision — selection, data conversion, training and go-live for a multi-branch distribution business.

Sage Intacct

CabinPro, LLC — current fractional engagement

Implemented the Sage Intacct accounting set-up, along with project accounting and cash-flow forecasting, as part of the current fractional CFO engagement.

Two-year ERP transition, $160M contractor

Commercial contractor

Brought on to lead a two-year ERP transition and rebuild the finance team — the systems work and the change management around it.

Roadnet (now Omnitracs)

Marion Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company

Implemented Roadnet routing in 1988 — a full systems and logistics redesign that made the company the first independent U.S. distributor to convert to pre-sell ordering and delivery.

BuildOps, Essbase & AutoStore

Across engagements

Hands-on through BuildOps, Essbase, and an AutoStore robotic warehouse implementation — reporting, planning and warehouse systems alongside the core ERP.

How an engagement works

1

Assess

Where the current systems and finance team stand — gaps, risks and what the business actually needs from the ERP.

2

Lead

Hands-on leadership of selection, implementation or rescue — data conversion, controls, training and the operating cadence around it.

3

Stabilize

A finance team that can close, forecast and report in the new system without me — that's the finish line.
